I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Since completing my Master’s in Social Work, I have specialized in working with clients struggling with adjustment issues, anxiety, and depression. I am passionate about destigmatizing mental health and therapy among communities of color and within the Islamic faith especially. My primary focus is working with women, particularly Muslim women, though not exclusively. I am committed to working to de-stigmatize the idea of therapy, especially among the Black community and Muslim communities.
I am currently pursuing a Doctorate in Social Work. I enjoy cooking/baking, traveling, collecting art, and writing. I’ve written several articles and published works including a therapy journal, and two inspirational journals. I am currently working on several other projects addressing mental health and well-being.
